I am the only attorney in my office. That means if you hire me, I will not shuffle you off to someone else. I will be the only one giving you advice. I do not employ associates, legal assistants or paralegals. You will be working directly with me, and with my legal secretary, Lisa Fagan. Lisa has 30 years of experience and we have been working together for the last 15 years. You will find that Lisa is extremely competent, professional, friendly, and compassionate.
I will give you my honest advice and predictions of likely results, based on my experience and knowledge of the law. I will give you realistic expectations based on the law, and I will urge you to be fair and honest with the other party. I will ask that you show respect to the court and comply with court rules.
I will not tell you what you want to hear just to get you to hire me. My analysis and advice won’t always be what you want to hear, but it will always be what you need to hear.
I am not a “junkyard dog”. I do not “go for the throat”. The expense and emotional damage of these types of proceedings depend a lot on the character and personality of the lawyers you and your spouse or partner choose.
I will guide you toward a settlement if possible, and prepare you for trial if necessary.
I have excellent work habits. I am never unprepared. I am respectful to the judges and other attorneys, but I tend not to get run over while advocating for my clients.
